Dear Fellow Rotarians and Friends,
A belated welcome to a new year, this is a time to reflect on all the great achievements we’ve had together as a Rotary Club, and to set our sights on the exciting opportunities ahead.
It’s a pleasure to welcome our newest members: Gina Kissentaner-Thomas, Gary and Ginger Green, Christine Marck, and Aree Suksiri. We are so excited to have you join, and rejoin, our Rotary family. Together, we will continue to make a positive impact in our community and in the world.
I recently attended a friends graduation at Chiang Mai University and reflected on our scholarship students. You are the future leaders, and we believe in your potential accomplishments and look forward to seeing the amazing contributions you will make to your communities and beyond. Keep striving for excellence, and remember that we are here to support you every step of the way.
A Roving Rotarian from New Zealand visited us and attended our Golf Ball Drop fundraiser and a meeting. It's always exciting to connect with fellow Rotarians from around the globe and learn from each other’s work.
This year, we trialled holding a lunch meeting, and I’m happy to report that it was a success, with a great turnout, both members and guests. It’s great to see that we can adapt and bring new ideas to the table, and we hope to continue exploring innovative ways to bring us together.
I'd also like to mention the recent Zoom meeting with the Fluvia Rotary Club. It was an enriching experience, and we are grateful for the opportunity to connect with their members. The exchange of ideas and collaboration is always a highlight, and we look forward to more of these virtual connections in the future.
Excitingly, we are moving toward a couple of Sister Club agreements. This will be an incredible opportunity for us to strengthen our international ties and collaborate on various community initiatives. Additionally, we are in the process of joining our international partners in the Global Grant program. We look forward to the possibilities that these partnerships will bring to further our efforts in making a lasting impact.
As we move forward into this new year, let’s embrace the spirit of Rotary and continue to inspire one another. Thank you for your dedication, passion, and service to our community. Together, we will make a difference.
In Chiang Mai we celebrate many New Years, not just the one in the on the Gregorian Calender may this year be filled with health, happiness, and continued success!
