As we step into February, I am thrilled to share some significant updates about the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club's activities.
Firstly, I am delighted to announce that our beloved club is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month. This remarkable milestone reflects the dedication and collaborative efforts of our members in advancing Rotary's mission.
In our continuous commitment to enhancing the member experience, I am pleased to introduce a new meeting format we are exploring. Following a successful trial at our recent gathering at Jia Tong Heng Chinese restaurant, we are considering implementing monthly dinner meetings at various restaurants.
This initiative aims to create a more relaxed and conducive environment for fellowship and engagement while facilitating informative discussions and presentations. Additionally, we will dedicate these meetings to comprehensive updates on selected projects, fostering greater transparency and accountability within our club.
It is worth noting that back in Rotary's early days, members met in rotation at various places of business, hence the name "Rotary." This approach pays homage to our roots while embracing contemporary practices.
I want to extend my appreciation to Rotarian Gary Herman for his invaluable contribution during our experimental meeting. Gary's insightful report on the state of the BCMF B.K. Kee House project exemplifies the passion that our members bring to their endeavors.
In January, we also hosted our "5th Tuesday of the Month" pizza social at The Dukes Maya where we welcomed numerous guests. This vibrant event provided another opportunity for our members to come together in fellowship, enjoying delicious pizza and engaging conversation about Rotary and our causes.
I am confident these initiatives will strengthen our club's unity and effectiveness in serving our community.
Thank you for your continued dedication and support.
