On September 4th, 2024, the Rotaract Club from Payap University had the opportunity to visit Agape Home Chiang Mai for their "Book Donation Project." The goal of the visit was to enrich the children's lives by providing educational and recreational books.
The day was filled with joy as club members engaged the children in various activities, including singing songs and crayon coloring, fostering creativity and a sense of community. The children enjoyed snacks and playtime in the playground, and the interactions were heartwarming. The experience inspired the club to continue making a positive impact through similar efforts.
Agape Home, located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, was established in May 1996 to support children affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Many of the children at Agape Home are HIV-positive or at risk, and many have lost their parents to AIDS, leaving them without other options for care. Agape Home provides a loving family environment for over 100 children, ranging in age from newborns to 21 years old.
A fundraising event was held at Payap University Canteen on September 23rd to support flood victims in and around Chiang Mai. Attendees enjoyed live acoustic music and fresh fruits while contributing to the cause. Donations and fruit purchases helped provide essential supplies, such as dry food, medicine, and clean water, to those affected by the recent flooding.
