Children at Dok Ngern Municipal School, Wat Sri Donchai Municipal School, and Wat Suan Dok School will undergo eye screenings before Christmas. We are incredibly fortunate to have the voluntary support of Dr. Hlaing May Than, a highly qualified and compassionate ophthalmologist, who has been instrumental in our efforts.
Dr. Hlaing May Than’s contributions at the final screening table are invaluable. Using her own instruments, she carefully examines each child's eyes and checks for anomalies, enabling us to identify ophthalmological issues beyond the need for corrective lenses. Her dedication has significantly enhanced our ability to address complex eye health concerns in children.
Dr. Hlaing May Than holds an MRCS (Ophthalmology) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has extensive experience in glaucoma care and cataract surgeries. Her expertise and commitment have greatly enriched our screening program.
