November has been a busy and creative month as we prepared for the upcoming Christmas party. Residents participated in a watercolor and colored pencil art activity using Christmas-themed drawings provided by Bill. These included festive images of Santa Claus, angels, Christmas trees, candy canes, and even Spiderman on a sleigh for the teenage boys.
To set the mood, Bill played cheerful Christmas music, adding a festive backdrop for the artists. Some residents showed remarkable talent, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the art-based activities.
Later in the month, we crafted paper Christmas trees, which turned out beautifully. A big thank you to Gary for the idea and the helpful YouTube tutorial that guided the instructors.
Throughout November, the residents also put up and decorated a Christmas tree, bringing holiday cheer to the space. As Gary says, we’re getting ready for “the best Christmas party in the known universe,” happening on Sunday, December 15th.
Thank you to everyone who generously donated to help make this event a success. We can’t wait to celebrate together!
