CMIRC Raffle Supports Nong Pam’s Education at Warm Heart

Each month, the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club (CMIRC) runs a raffle to make a difference in the lives of young people in need. This initiative is currently helping to sponsor Nong Pam, a bright and determined student at Warm Heart Worldwide.

Evelind Schecter, Co-Founder and Treasurer of Warm Heart Worldwide, shared an update on Nong Pam’s progress:

“Nong Pam is doing well and coming out of her shell. She is still quiet but always has a ready smile and leads the younger children in activities and chores. She finished her first school year at Warm Heart with a 3.16 average, a solid B. She had top grades in Thai, Math, and Social Studies. She’s working with our after-school tutors to catch up in science. She is now in her second term of M2 (8th grade). Her teachers have not released the first-term report cards, but we will keep you posted.Thank you for your sponsorship!”

Why Your Support Matters

The annual cost to support a student like Nong Pam is approximately 45,000 THB ($1,500). This covers essential expenses such as food, housing, after-school tutoring, uniforms, school transportation, and staff care. The generous 25,000 THB raised through CMIRC raffles has made a significant contribution, but it does not fully meet the costs required for comprehensive care and education.

Warm Heart Worldwide relies on sponsorships and donations to bridge this gap and ensure students like Nong Pam have the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

How You Can Help

Your contributions, whether through raffle participation or direct donations, help sustain this life-changing support. Every bit counts towards shaping a brighter future for children like Nong Pam.
